Matt J. Runyon, P.E., C.B.O.
Matt has been with Newcomer Associates since 1985. He is responsible for managing projects for one of the Firm's largest clients. In addition, he markets and manages all of the hospitality and assisted living projects that the Firm does. He is very well acquainted with many different hotel franchise standards, and their design and construction representatives.
Matt has become extremely knowledgeable of all major building codes, e.g.: International, BOCA, Standard, Uniform, Life Safety, and ADA. He has attended numerous seminars and has been involved in proposing and presenting changes to the BOCA code. He is responsible for code analysis on all of the Firm's projects. Matt is a licensed structural engineer and certified building official and member of the following professional organizations:

- SBCCI (Southern Building Code
Congress International, Inc.)
- NFPA (National Fire Protection Association)
- ALFA (Assisted Living Foundation of America)
Matt has a Bachelor's Degree in Structural Design and Construction Engineering Technology from Penn State University. He had previously spent one year studying architecture at the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture in Scottsdale, Arizona. He is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania. |
